Tax documents are optional at registration but become mandatory once you have earned $2,000, and payouts stop until they are supplied. Upload them at setup and the problem never arrives.

None, if you are selling your own products as a business or individual seller. The follower requirement applies only to affiliate creators promoting other people's products: 1,000 for the capped Creator Pilot Program, 5,000 for full access.
For every route: 18 or over, US based, and identity verified. Business sellers add company registration, an EIN, a business bank account in the registered name and a W-9. Affiliates add an SSN or ITIN and a follower threshold.
The pilot, at 1,000 to 5,000 followers, caps you at three shoppable videos a day and three shoppable LIVE sessions a week with limited sample access. Full access at 5,000 removes the caps. You can graduate early by publishing six shoppable videos of eight seconds or more, hosting one shopping LIVE of five minutes or more, or generating ten orders.
Yes. You must post a shoppable video or host a shopping LIVE at least every 120 days, and your account standing must stay healthy. Dormancy is the most common reason people find sample requests closed.
Sellers register at seller-us.tiktok.com with details matching their filed registration character for character. Creators open TikTok Shop for Creator from the profile menu in the app. Mismatched names are the ordinary reason applications bounce.
No. There is an individual seller route needing a US passport, driver licence, state ID or permanent resident card plus address, tax and bank details. A registered business unlocks more, but is not required to start.
