LIVE selling
LIVE is the highest-converting format on TikTok Shop and the one almost nobody starts, because it is 15 to 25 hours a week of actual broadcast. We run it.

Recruited, briefed and scheduled, so you get consistent stream hours without hiring and training a presenter. Or we train someone on your team, which usually converts better once they know the product.
An hour of stream is a sequence: open, first offer, flash block, second product, close. Flash sales with genuinely limited stock are the highest converting format on the platform at 11.2%.
A flash block needs real scarcity and a price that survives the commission. Both are set before the stream, not improvised on it.
Questions answered in the moment convert; questions ignored end the session early. Someone is always on comments while the host is on camera.
Sporadic LIVE builds no returning audience. A fixed slot does, and returning viewers are the ones who buy.
Revenue per stream, not viewers. Published figures run from about $800 for a small stream to $48,000 for a mega one, and the gap is offer structure far more than audience size.
Conversion and order value move in opposite directions across a stream. Baseline AOV of $29 falls to $26 during the conversion peak and $24 past the hour. Later viewers convert more readily and spend less.
Which means a stream optimised purely for conversion rate looks better and earns less. We judge a LIVE on revenue per session, and we will tell you when your category does not suit the format rather than selling you hours you do not need.
| Situation | Why LIVE is the wrong answer |
|---|---|
| One product, no catalogue depth | A single SKU cannot hold an hour. Short video is cheaper and works better |
| Under $75, simple product | Nothing to demonstrate. The feed converts this fine at a fraction of the cost |
| No consistent slot available | Sporadic streams build no returning audience, and returning viewers are the buyers |
| Shop not converting on video yet | LIVE will not rescue a product-audience mismatch. Fix the funnel first |
A group of creators managed together for LIVE selling, so a brand gets consistent stream hours without hiring and training hosts itself. We recruit, brief and schedule the hosts, and run the offer structure behind each session.
Sellers who make LIVE work run 15 to 25 hours a week. That is a staffed role rather than something added to an existing job, and it is the honest reason most brands never start.
Sources put LIVE at 5 to 12%, with one 2026 measurement at 7.8%, against roughly 2.8% for short video. Within a stream it climbs from 2.1% in the first five minutes to 9.2% between 30 and 60 minutes.
No. We can supply hosts through our creator network, train someone on your team, or run a mix. Brand-side hosts usually convert better once trained, because product knowledge shows.
LIVE sits in the Scale tier at $4,500 a month, or is quoted separately on Starter and Growth, because stream hours are the cost driver rather than video count. Independent LIVE hosts across the market run $500 to $2,000 per session.
It earns its keep where value needs demonstrating, which is why products above about $75 do better on LIVE than in the feed. A simple, cheap, self-explanatory product is usually better served by short video.
Figures checked 2 September 2026. Platform rules and rates change; verify against TikTok Shop Seller Center before acting on any of them.
Thirty minutes. We will tell you what we would expect per session, and say so plainly if short video would serve you better.
