TikTok Shop Seller Center,
section by section

Seven sections, and the order you touch them in decides whether your first afternoon is productive or wasted.

Looking for the login? US sellers: seller-us.tiktok.com. Creators promoting other people's products want Creator Center in the app instead, which is a different place doing a different job. The rest of this page is about what the sections actually do once you are in.

Seller Center vs Creator Center

These get conflated constantly, and the confusion wastes real time.

Set-up order, and why it matters

There is one dependency that catches nearly everyone: you cannot submit a listing without a shipping template. Build the catalogue first and you will finish twenty products and be unable to publish any of them.

  1. Verification. Identity or business documents. Nothing else unlocks until this clears
  2. Addresses. Warehouse or pickup address, and a return address
  3. Shipping templates. The blocker. Do it before the catalogue
  4. Bank account and tax details. Tax documents become mandatory once you have earned $2,000, and payouts stop until they are supplied. Do it now, not then
  5. Catalogue. Now it can actually be submitted
  6. Affiliate programme. Set the commission rate against a margin you have already modelled

The metrics that throttle your reach

Seller Center shows a lot of numbers. Two categories of them change how much distribution you get, and they are not the ones most sellers watch.

  • Fulfilment performance. Late dispatch and cancellation rates feed your shop standing. A poor standing throttles reach, so a logistics problem becomes a marketing problem without anything on the marketing side changing
  • Listing quality tier. Products with fewer than five images drop into a lower tier that appears less often in search and recommendations. Nothing in the interface announces this

GMV is the number everyone watches and the least actionable one on the page. Fulfilment rate and listing tier are both fixable this week, and both change how much traffic you get afterwards.

Settings people miss

  • Tax documents, until payouts stop at the $2,000 threshold
  • Return address separate from the warehouse address. Wrong here means returns going to the wrong place at your cost
  • Shipping template weights. Wrong weights quietly eat margin on every single order
  • Affiliate commission rate, left at a default rather than modelled. The fee calculator sets it properly
  • Category attributes, the ordinary cause of a rejected listing

Common questions

What is TikTok Shop Seller Center?

The back office for anyone selling their own products on TikTok Shop: listings, orders, shipping, promotions, the affiliate programme, finance and account settings. It is the seller side of the platform. Creators promoting other people's products use Creator Center in the app instead.

How do I log in to Seller Center?

At seller-us.tiktok.com for the US marketplace, with the same TikTok account or the email you registered the shop under. There is also a Seller Center app. Other countries run separate marketplaces on their own domains.

What is the difference between Seller Center and Creator Center?

Seller Center is for sellers who list and ship products. Creator Center, inside the TikTok app, is for affiliate creators promoting other people's products for commission. Different accounts, different jobs.

What should I set up first?

Verification, then addresses, then shipping templates, then the bank account and tax details. Listings cannot be submitted without a shipping template, so building the catalogue first is the most common way to waste an afternoon.

Which Seller Center metrics actually matter?

Fulfilment performance above all: late dispatch and cancellation rates feed your shop's standing, and a poor standing throttles how much reach your products get. Listing quality tier matters too, and fewer than five images on a product drops it a tier.

What is TikTok Shop Academy?

TikTok's own free training inside Seller Center. Worth an hour early on, particularly the compliance modules, because the rules there are the ones that get listings rejected.
