The same arithmetic we use when deciding whether a creator account is worth operating. The defaults are researched benchmarks; drag them to your own numbers.
Estimated monthly commission
Defaults: 1% tap rate and 8% purchase-once-tapped, which is about 0.8% overall, inside the 0.5 to 1.5% organic range. 15% commission sits just above the 13.02% US average. Payouts finalise about 15 days after delivery.
Notice that follower count is not an input. Distribution on TikTok is decided per video, so views per video is the honest measure of reach, and it varies far more with format and hook than with audience size.
The lever most creators ignore is the tap rate. Doubling it from 1% to 2% doubles income with the same videos and the same audience, and it is mostly a product-selection decision: promote what your specific viewers buy, not what pays the highest commission. Diagnosing a low tap rate is covered here, and joining the affiliate programme is here.
Per sale, typically $12 to $45. Monthly, it depends almost entirely on cadence and product selection. The average US commission is 13.02%, and a creator driving $100,000 in GMV at 20% earns $20,000; the median affiliate earns very little, because the top 0.5% of creators produce 38% of all affiliate revenue.
Around 1% of viewers tapping the product is a realistic organic figure; above that means the product fits the audience well. Below 1% on high views means the video reached people who are not in the market for the product.
Organic short video converts at roughly 0.5 to 1.5% of viewers overall. The calculator splits that into taps and purchases so you can see which lever moves it. LIVE converts far higher, 5 to 12%, but is a different format.
Payout lag and clawbacks. Commission is finalised about 15 days after delivery, up to 31 with a dispute, and returned orders reverse the commission. The estimate is gross earned, not cash received.
